Barcode Setup Window
Setup Barcode or OMR marks using this window. OMR or Barcode is necessary for advanced binding machines.
Barcode ▸
Symbology: The language or encoding method the barcode uses to create the image. Make sure the printer / finisher is able to decode the symbology used by the barcode. Available symbologies are Interleaved 2 of 5, Code 39, Code 39 mod 43, Code 128 and DataMatrix and QR Code.
Barcode Position: Barcode position on the paper.
Available options are
• Left Edge - Centered : Left centre of the paper
• Right Edge - Centered : Right centre of the paper
• Top Edge - Centered : Top centre of the paper
• Bottom Edge - Centered : Bottom centre of the paper
• Absolute Paper Center : Absolute centre of the paper
• Top Left Corner : Top left corner of the paper
• Top Right Corner : Top right corner of the paper
• Bottom Left Corner : Bottom left corner of the paper
• Bottom Right Corner : Bottom right corner of the paper
Note: Barcode position may change if you select the printing mode to ‘Row Wise’ or ‘Column Wise’.
Extra Barcode Position: Print additional barcode image on selected position on the paper.
Rotation: Rotation angle of the barcode.
Width Factor : Width of a barcode symbol is directly related to the barcode data and width factor value. Increasing the value increases the with of a barcode.
Barcode Width : Actual width of the barcode after applying the given parameters.
Height : Height of the barcode.
Quiet Zone : A white area on both end of a barcode where no text or graphics should appear.
White Boarder : Size of the white boarder around barcode if required.
Line thickness : Thickness factor of the barcode elements.
X Offset : Barcode horizontal position shift.
Y Offset : Barcode vertical position shift.
Offset Mode : Decides how the offset values apply to the main and extra barcode positions and offset direction.
Default : Apply offset values to both barcodes.
Main Only : Apply offset values to main barcode only.
Extra Only : Apply offset values to extra barcode only.
Offset Option : Options for applying offset to extra barcode.
Extra Only : If enabled, extra barcode will move opposite direction of the main barcode offset.
Print Barcodes On : Choose the printing order of sheets where barcodes need to be printed.
Available options are
• All Sheets : Print marks on all sheets of the output
• First Sheet Only : Print barcodes only on the first sheet of the output
• Last Sheet Only : Print barcodes only on the first sheet of the output
• Skip First Sheet : Avoid barcodes on the first sheet of the output
• Skip Last Sheet : Avoid barcodes on the first sheet of the output
Printing Side : Choose the sides barcode need to be printed.
Available options are
• Front Side : Print barcodes only on the front side of the sheet
• back Side : Print barcodes only on the back side of the sheet
• Both Sides : Print barcodes on both sides of the sheet
Printing Mode : Choose the modes barcode need to be printed.
Available options are
• Sheet Wise : Print barcodes on each sheets. (Depend on other options)
• Row Wise : Print barcodes on all rows in a sheet (Depend on other options). Useful for cut & finish repeat jobs.
• Column Wise : Print barcodes on all columns in a sheet (Depend on other options). Useful for cut & finish repeat jobs.
Note: Refer your printing / finishing machine’s user manual for barcode and OMR mark specifications.
Barcode Data ▸
Total Sheets in a Book : One of the static data for the barcode. Use only when require.
Custom Number of Sheets : Use this option to edit total number of sheets manually.
Reverse Order Page Numbering : Allow you to take numbers of print sheets in reverse order.
Job reference ID : One of the static data for the barcode. Use only when require.
• Enter Manually : Enter custom text as job reference ID.
• Layout File Name : Selects layout file name as job reference ID.
• Job Number : Selects Job Number as job reference ID.
• First Linked PDF File Name : Selects first linked PDF file name as job reference ID.
Special Text : Enter any user entered text as Special Text.
Print Human Readable Barcode Text : Print the human readable texts along with barcode graphic.
Font : Font face for human readable barcode text
Field value : Number of characters needed as place holders to use with the data.
Available options are
• None, 1 Letters ~ 24 Letters & All Available
Data Source Type : Static or variable data type for the barcode. Available options are Total Sheets in a Book, Current Sheet Number, Book Number, Job Reference ID, Special Text
Available options are
• Total Sheets In A Book : Number of sheets used in a complete job.
• Current Sheet Number : Current sheet number of total sheets used in in a job.
• Reference ID : The reference ID selected above reference ID field
• Special Text : The special text selected above special text field
• Feeder ID : The Feeder ID information for this sheet/job.
Use Feeder Options : Enable Feeder informations as a source type.
Feeder Setup.. : Customize the Feeder ID information for above fields.
Note:
Different sets of characters can be encoded in the barcode. The characters may be numeric only, alpha-numeric, or may include control characters. Using incompatible characters in the barcode data may result in an empty barcode.
