Click on the desired page preview or select ‘ Master Page Properties ’ menu to get this window. Here you can set the Symbolic Page Number, PDF Page Rotation, Binding Side, Crop Marks etc. All the settings here are applicable to all child pages of this master page.
On above screenshot, editing symbolic page number 4 displayed as page 64.
Note : Only master pages are editable, If the layout using front & back signatures then the first & second signatures are editable otherwise only the first signature is editable.
Symbolic Page Number : This is the symbolic representation of the page numbers of the layout. Actual page numbers will be created automatically by Imposition Studio. Change only the symbolic page numbers on the master form. The maximum symbolic page number allowed to enter is the total number of pages in a master form.
For example, if you are creating a book containing 32 pages in a two up layout, the master page numbers of the front signature will be 4 and 1 and back side signature will be 2 and 3. Please check the templates and example layouts to study more.
PDF Page Rotation : Placing angle of the page on the signature. Available values are 0, 180, 90 and 270.
Page Options ▸
Hide Master Page : Hide all occurrence of child pages of this master pages. Useful for gang run layout.
Set Binding Side Manually : Allows to set the spine side of a page manually for a book layout.
Page Binding Side (Spine) : Indicates the binding side of the page - How you view on signature - Independent of the page rotation.
Gang Run Transformations.. : Allows you to change individual properties of the master page item. This will apply to all child pages of the master page item. Clicking the above button will open the ‘Gang Run Transformations’ window.
Fine Tune Bleed & Crop Marks.. : Allows you to change individual crop & bleed properties of the master page item. This will apply to all child pages of the master page item. Clicking this button will open the ‘Marks & Bleed Settings’ window.
Apply changes to..:
• Apply Settings to Current Page Box : If this pop-up menu is selected then the settings will apply to currently selected page box only.
• Apply to All Page Boxes in Current Row : This option applies settings to all page boxes in the selected row.
• Apply to All Page Boxes in Current Column : This option applies settings to all page boxes in the selected column.
• Apply to All Page Boxes in Current Signature : This option applies settings to all page boxes in the signature.
• Apply to All Boxes in All Odd Rows : This option applies settings to pages in every odd numbered rows in the signature.
• Apply to All Boxes in All Odd Columns : This option applies settings to pages in every odd numbered columns in the signature.
• Apply to All Boxes in All Even Rows : This option applies settings to pages in every even numbered rows in the signature.
• Apply to All Boxes in All Even Columns : This option applies settings to pages in every even numbered column in the signature.
Preserve Page Numbers : Apply all settings to the selected page boxes but keep the symbolic page numbers as original.
Note : Symbolic numbers are for master form only. Actual page numbers are differ depend on the number of imported pages in the PDF links setup. • Create printed proofs of the signatures and check the pagination and folding thoroughly before final printing.
