Which edition should I choose, Digital or Offset?
Digital Edition is for digital print production with output sizes up to 50 cm × 50 cm. Offset Edition adds CTP output and removes the output size limit.
How does Imposition Studio compare with other imposition software?

Is Imposition Studio a subscription?
Imposition Studio is available as a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription fees.
Does the license work on both Windows and macOS?
Single-user licenses can be used on either Windows or macOS. Multi-user licenses can be used on multiple computers, all on one platform or with any mix of Windows and macOS.
What is included in the free update plan?
Each license includes a complimentary update plan. The included duration depends on the edition.
What if the complimentary update plan has expired?
You can continue using your licensed version. If you want to use newer versions, you can purchase a future update plan to extend your update eligibility.
Can I use the same license on multiple computers?
For multiple computers, choose a Multi-user or Enterprise license. Single-user licenses are intended for one user.
Which edition supports CTP output?
CTP output is available in Offset Edition. Digital Edition is designed for digital print output.
Can I upgrade later from Digital Edition to Offset Edition?
Each edition and license type is purchased separately. Cross upgrades are not available between editions or license types, such as Digital to Offset or Single User to Multi User.
How is vdpXpro licensed?
vdpXpro is an optional add-on for Imposition Studio, available separately for users who need variable data printing and data merge features.
Does Imposition Studio support JDF export?
Yes. Imposition Studio supports JDF and XJDF export for cutting operations on plain cut layouts.
Do I need to create every imposed signatures manually?
No. In Imposition Studio, you create the master pages or master form once. The remaining imposed pages are generated automatically based on the source PDF, page count, binding method, and layout settings.
Do I need different templates for jobs with different page counts?
No. In Imposition Studio, a template defines the master form, not every imposed page. A master form is the main layout setup of a job, and it can be single-sided or double-sided. When you import a PDF with a different page count, Imposition Studio uses the same master form and automatically creates the required imposed pages.
Does vdpXpro support text, PDF, barcode, and image data merge?
Yes. vdpXpro supports text, PDF, barcode, and image-based variable data jobs.
Is vdpXpro a separate application and a separate download?
vdpXpro is included with Imposition Studio as an optional add-on module. A separate application download is not required.
Can I use a tax exemption certificate during purchase?
